Video: Matt Alder on social networks and the employer brand
Matt Alder. discusses new research and provides his perspective on how social networking will impact on employer brands
Social networks such as Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter have had a huge impact on how we manage our communications. Employer branding is not immune to this as this immense communication channel now offers an outlet for candidates and employees to share their experiences with the world.
Barkers and The Guardian have recently worked on a piece of research entitled Assessing the Candidate Experience (or ACE). This interesting research looks at the job seekers journey and the way in which different types of candidate manage their commnications. One aspect of this was how social networking sites were used to gather knowledge and intelligence about an organisation and how this aided more successful candidates in their job hunting.
In this video Matt talks about the ACE research, Linkedin, Twitter and what employers should be doing to manage their own communication and understanding within the social networking context.
You can find out more about the ACE research on their website http://www.aceresearch.co.uk and follow Matt's updates at www.recruitingfuture.com.
